Building Orbit: Why Orbit, Why This Stack

Orbit's architecture was shaped by a simple challenge: deliver a multiplayer browser game that launches instantly, feels socially connected, and maintains credible leaderboards. To achieve this, the project adopted a lightweight edge-native stack consisting of a vanilla JavaScript frontend, Cloudflare Workers, Durable Objects, D1, and Queues.
